“One of my all time heroes Mick Doohan, who made the 500 2 stroke Repsol Honda all his own.
I first did a pencil version of a similar image to this about a year prior to this one in 1999.
Before it got published, it was sold as an original. So I did this similar shot a year later in colour.”

A limited edition of 500 litho prints were produced and are all sold out. A few images still exist in canvas.
