Congratulations go out to Scott Redding for his 4th place and Bradley Smith for his success success in gaining a podium position.
Visit our traveling exhibition for an up close and personal view of our breath taking collection.

Ian is always on hand for friendly advice & information, and you can often get  to meet Steve himself.

Announcing a totally new offering in the ever popular range of composite "Race" images by Steve. A conglomeration of digital trickery and air brush, this work reflects Steve's view of a race never captured by photographs.

Depicting  Rossi, Stoner, Lorenzo & Pedroza, cornering the flood lit track at Qatar in perfect formation, the simply titled "Race 5" is available in Canvas only, and compliments it's mostly sold out siblings 1,2,3 & 4.

Silverstone & Goodwood

You have two opportunities to see our travelling exhibition over the coming weeks.

The Grand Prix circus comes to the UK this month, where Ian & Steve will revving their engines with an all star line up of their own.

When you can drag yourself away from the live action, get along to the SteveWhyman.com stand and soak up the sights of our unique collection.

July sees the Festival of Speed at Goodwood, where there will be thrils galore for petrol heads on  two wheels or more.

This stunning Weekend of motorsport quite literally has something for everyone, and don't be surprised if you see Steve & Ian rubbing shoulders with the stars of today and heroes of the yesteryear.

A Rare Opportunity

Three copies of previously sold out images have made their way back to the team, which offers the rarest of opportunities to own a Steve Whyman classic.

These pictures have been carefully reprinted on canvas by Steve to his exacting standards, and look as breathtaking as they ever did.

The new canvas's are:

Nastro Aazzuro (Pencil)
Rossi Repsol Colour 2002 (Airbrush)
Race 1 (Composite)

rossi 09 rain
If you're more fortunate than this "Web Geek", you may well be visiting the MCN show at EXCEL this weekend.  Then you will have hopefully dropped by our stand to see Ian showing off the new Valentino image.

Officially called "Rossi 09 Rain", it pays homage to Valentino winning his 9th World Championship in 2009, on a very wet track.

We think the spray on your face only adds to the smell and the sound that screams at you from Steve's brilliant artwork.

See it here

I have also uploaded the  NEW Slimpics canvasses of Rossi 09, Kevin Schwantz, Noriuki Haga, James Toseland, and the previously sold out image of Joey Dunlop.

see them all here

Jan 10Roaring into a new decade, Steve was battening down the hatches for the big freeze like the rest of us. But in stead of pulling up the duvet, he was sharpening his pencils to complete his latest release. A much awaited composition of Velentino Rossi winning his 9th World Championship in 2009.

We won't have much longer to wait though, as it is due to be launched at the MCN London motorcycle show in February.

Other releases to look out for are the collections Joey Dunlop, and Kevin Schwantz images benefiting from the SLIMPICS' cropped down, pumped up, attention grabbing treatment.

Ian and Steve with Valentino

Steve's Donington Moto GP Blog

3 days , 9 hours sleep,  £1950 for Charity, Colin Edwards, the ultimate compliment from Valentino Rossi, and two tired but very happy bunnies.

Wow!
While the team knew Donington was going to be a special event in both the exhibition and  racing calendar, neither Steve or Ian could predict the excitment those three days would bring.

Read Steve's Blog to see how events unfolded.

Haga Xerox
Donington unveiled

With the race season well underway, Ian and Steve have been in attendance at the World Superbike Championship, and will also be exhibiting Steve's work at the UK leg of the MOTO GP at Donington.

It was the WSBK where Steve unveiled the newest addition to his collection. The closely guarded secret emerged as a red hot portrayal of the WSBK Superstar Noriyuki Haga, riding the Team Xerox Ducati from Steve's famous trackside perspective.

Those of you who made it to Donington may have called by the stand to see it, but you can see it now by following the link to the left.

Their weekend was made complete with Nori signing some prints without even getting off his paddock bike.

The team passes on our best wishes to Noriyuki and his family, and hope he has a speedy recovery from his injuries following an unfortunate crash on Sunday.

JUN  09Donnington unveiling

Come and see the subject of Steve's newest creation being unveiled for the first time at the World Superbike Championship at Donnington Park.

The rider Steve has chosen to recreate in his usual illuminating airbrushed style has been a closley guarded secret.

Track us down in the "Exhibition Hall" for a world super preview.

MAR  09Making an exhibition of ourselves

In a prelude to the new Moto GP season, Ian has been hitting the motorways with our travelling exhibition. Next month will see him at the Stafford Classic Bike Show.

Stafford is always a great event, and this years guest of honour is racing legend Carl Foggarty.

Carl is a great fan of Steve's work, and is keen to sign copies of  his pencil drawing .

If you pop by the stand in April, don't be supprised if you spot Foggy there!

Bike Show Firsts

Steve and Ian are having a blast at the NEC, with hundreds of enthusiastic visitors to the stand. Not only are they getting to meet  the fans, but they have had  the stars call by too.

James Toseland is entertaining the crowds with his band on a few of the days (see bike show web site for details), but he has still found time out of his schedule to put in an appearance at SteveWhyman.com

Another welcome visitor was the amazing young rising star Scott Redding. Scott is the subject of a new painting by Steve, and has kindly signed a number of copies that are available to buy.

The image of Scott wasn't the only work shown for the first time at the Show. In testimony to an incredible season, a 2008 image of the legend Valentino Rossi has been causing quite a stir.

The show continues until Sunday 7th Dec, so please call by
Stand 3J45 in Hall 3a and say hi.  We'd love to see you.

Kevin Schwantz Signing
If you want Schwantz..........

Ian had a great time at the Stafford Classic Bike Show last week. On top of meeting lots of Steve Whyman enthusiasts, he also got to see some amazing Japanese Classics.

The icing on the cake however, was getting a personal audience with guest of honour Kevin Schwantz. "It  was a real joy to meet such a  legend. Not just your usual day at the office" said Ian.

Kevin kindly agreed to sign a few canvas prints of Steve's pencil image.  Please get in touch if you would like the opportunity to own one of these very special limited edition prints.

We still have some signed canvas prints avaialable, but they won't be around for long!

September 08 Summer News / Toseland prints signed and dedicated to you!

Just thought I would let you know what we've been up to in the last couple of months.   Well, we all had a bit of a break to get away from this British weather, which is why the web site hasn't changed much recently.

We've just got back from the World Superbikes at Donington, and again, a totally rain soaked event! Crowd numbers were well down, but for those of you who came to see us in the Exhibition Centre and had a look at our display, thanks. It's always good to see you and get some feedback from what you've bought in the past, or what you would like to see in the future.

Incidentally, speaking of Donington, you've obviously all heard about the plans to take the F1 circus (yeah, circus is a good word) there in 2010. Well, if you go to their website, you will see plans of the proposed layout for the new circuit and facilities. Apparently, this will not disrupt the staging of the Moto GP or SBK in 2009.

In a couple of weeks time we should be meeting with James Toseland and getting some of the prints and canvasses signed, so if you're interested in him personalising one for you, let us know.  We were due to have some Nori Haga prints signed at Donington, but because he had such a dismal weekend, I don't think signing our stuff was high on his "to do" list!!

Ian will be at the BMF Tail End rally in a couple of weeks and at the Classic Show in Stafford in mid October, so go along and have a chat with him. We will have a full blown stand at the NEC Bike Show at the end of November, where we will unveil some of the new stuff.

I am presently working on a new colour Rossi - which looks awesome - and this should be followed by a Troy Bayliss image to celebrate his career.   Hopefully there we be some other "eye popping" artwork in time for the NEC.

As Simon, our web builder and designer is also back from his hols, the site should start to expand a bit, with the inclusion of more archive material, stories, and the pricing and shopping cart should soon appear.   Bookmark the site, and keep popping back to see what's new.

James Toseland
New Image

If you made it to Donnington you may have caught a glimpse of Steve's new picture of James Toseland. Well now he has produced the finishing touches and has unvailed it for all to see.

This was a suitably challanging picture to produce, which is captures James in his first MotoGP race on the floodlit track at Qatar.

Read about Steve's challenge and look at this blistering image in detail by clicking here.

Exhibition Stand
Donnington 2008

Many thanks to all the people who came to see us in the Exhibition Centre at the Donington GP and said so many good things about the art and the display.

As this is a new venture between myself and Ian it was important to get the message over to you the customer how much we appreciate your business and how committed we are to giving you the best motorcycle art that you can buy.

It was good to see some regular customers and meet new ones.   The only problem was, that because we were so busy we didn't get a chance to speak with everyone.   A great event, with a really good vibe about the place.   We'll see you again soon, in the meantime, keep visiting the site.

March 08 Latest Work

This month Steve's newest pencil drawing is unveiled. Another piece reaffirming Steve's fascination with the brilliant Valentino Rossi, it celebrates his 2007 season.

As ever the delicate structure, subtlety and detail of the work is testament to Steve's title of The Pencil King.

The nuances of  this piece are difficult to replicate on a web page, but more information and a detailed look at this image is available  by clicking here.

March 08 The Partnership Develops

Having worked together for some time providing a sales outlet for Steve's work at bike shows and other events. Ian Holmes of York based Jap Power, is now in the driving seat of a new venture to bring Steve's art to a wider audience.

Coinciding with the launch of this web site, Ian will be touring the country with a comprehensive collection of  these stunning pieces.

Keep an eye out for news items of the latest dates and events.
