Ben Spies
It was clear that when Ben Spies arrived in MotoGP that he was going to be a force to be reckoned with and in his first year of competing in this class he was crowned Rookie of the Year. I felt that his originality in style deserved to be immortalised in one of my pictures. Hopefully I captured it.
Unfortunately his reign in the MotoGP championship was dogged with injury and in 2013 he announced his retirement due to injuries. He will always be remembered as ‘Elbowz’
